Realkompetansevurdering
Med realkompetanse menes all formell, ikke-formell og uformell kompetanse en voksen har fra utdanning, arbeid, foreningsliv mm. Dersom du vil søke videregående skole, men mangler dokumentasjon på gjennomført grunnskole i ett eller flere fag, er det nødvendig å bli realkompetansevurdert.
Du kan få vurdert din realkompetanse opp mot læreplanen i fagene norsk, engelsk, matematikk, naturfag og samfunnsfag.
Når du søker om realkompetansevurdering, setter du selv opp en oversikt over din aktuelle fagkompetanse. I søknaden oppgir du tidligere utdanning, relevant arbeidserfaring og gir en beskrivelse av det du ønsker å få vurdert. Du må også dokumentere at du bor på Øvre Romerike. Selve realkompetansen vurderes av en faglærer. Vurderingen tar 1 - 1 1/2 time i hvert fag. Faglæreren vurderer dine kunnskaper og ferdigheter i forhold til læreplanen i faget. Du må kunne vise til kompetanse på karakter 2-nivå eller bedre for å få godkjent realkompetanse i faget.
Realkompetansevurdering på grunnskolens område er omfattende og tidkrevende. Det stilles tilsvarende krav til kjennskap til læringsmålene i Kunnskapsløftet som en avgangselev i 10. klasse. Før du søker bør du sette deg inn i hva som forventes i de ulike fagene.

Assessment of Prior experiential learning
Prior experiential learning comprises all the formal or informal competence a person has acquired through education, work and running business. It is necessary to get an assessment of the prior experiential learning if you want to seek admission to an upper secondary school without necessary documents which can prove that you have finished primary and lower secondary education in one or several subjects.
You can get an assessment of your prior experiential learning in language of Norwegian, English, mathematics, science and social studies according to the national curriculum.
When you apply for an assessment of prior experiential learning, you need to make an overview of your prior experiential learning. In the application you need to give the information about your earlier education, relevant working experience and what you want to be assessed. You must also document that you live in Øvre Romerike. The application shall be sent to Adult Education Center of Øvre Romerike which will contact you to talk about your background and the procedure of the assessment.
The prior experiential learning is assessed by a teacher with responsibility within the relevant subject/subjects. The assessment will take one to one and half hours in each subject. The teacher will assess your knowledge and skill according to the national curriculum in the subject. You need to show that you are able to get at least 2 (the lowest passing grade) in order to get recognition of your real competence in this subject.
The assessment of prior experiential learning in the lower secondary school is extensive and time-consuming. It requires comprehension of the learning objects in the Knowledge Promotion for graduating students in 10th grade.
